DEHYDRA COMPACT FOOD WASTE DEWATERING SYSTEM
The Dehydra Compact food waste dewaterer is an ideal system for high capacity, space restrained kitchens. The unique format of this unit, unlike any other, allows full size wheeled bins to be filled. With the Hydro Extractor system located at head height the wheeled bin can be located right next to the unit. This reduces the need to decant smaller bins into wheeled bins for disposal
HOW IT WORKS
Food waste is fed into the hopper by the operator and ground into small particles by the food waste disposer. The operation of the whole unit is quick, simple and safe thanks to a design which prevents access to the grinding mechanism while the unit is operating. The ground food waste is then pumped from the disposer into the hydro-extractor. Combining an auger and a screen with a very fine mesh (1 mm diameter holes) the hydro-extractor separates the liquid from the ground food waste. The excess liquid can then be re-circulated to reduce water consumption before being disposed of to a foul drain. Once the food waste has been disposed of the system automatically self cleans to minimise operator time.

The wastes drop from the dewatering unit from head height, which makes it ideal for filling larger bins, which results in less time spent moving the wastes to your recycling area.

Water Connection | Inlet: Cold water supply to disposer shall be 3/4 service line (pressure resistant hose pipe required) with a standard of 2.5 bar flow pressure, Piped as close to the unit as possible at a comfortable height from the ground. A gate valve is required for maintenance. Inlet: Hot water supply shall be 3/4 service line, pipe as close to the unit as possible at a comfortable height from the ground with a pressure resistant hose pipe.
