COVID-19 business update
Article posted on 31.03.2020
We hope that all our clients and friends of the business are keeping safe and well at this difficult time. Here’s a quick update on where we’re at now and how COVID-19 is affecting our operations…
The situation at Tidy Planet
The current global pandemic is impacting organisations large and small across the globe, but in terms of what’s changed so far here at Tidy Planet, we’d like our customers to know that we’re still open and available to support them as much as possible.
We’re continuing to follow guidelines form the Government about social distancing, so we’re working from home and have all the phones on divert – therefore, there’s no interruption in the daily communications we have with present and future clients.
Also, as we’re a global company, we’re used to speaking to customers and distributors all over the world via video call, so in this respect it really is business as usual for us – until we’re told otherwise by the Government.
For any enquiries coming in, we’re assessing them on a case-by-case basis, and when our engineers are attending sites to assist customers with their machinery, they’re following the two-metre social distancing rule in all instances, to ensure maximum safety.
What does it mean for the waste and recycling industry?
At the end of the day, no matter what is happening in society, waste will always be generated, and it will forever need a solution – whether reusing, recycling, recovering or disposing of at landfill.
It was an encouraging and welcomed move from the Government that employees within the waste and recycling sector have been given ‘key worker status’, because without these people, the UK’s waste handling operations wouldn’t function.
Therefore, in terms of how COVID-19 is and will continue to affect the country, it’s now more than ever that the work the environmental sector does needs to be recognised and prioritised, because it plays a crucial role in ensuring the health of the population and also the planet as a whole.
Please know that we’re doing what we can to remain business as usual at this challenging time, and if you want to get in touch with our team, please give us a call on 01625 666798, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
