INSPIRING ISF URBAN HONG KONG FOOD RECYCLING

5 Years ago started a quiet revolution in how food wastes could be dealt with in inner city Hong Kong and the first of Tidy Planets Rocket Composters and Dehydra dewatering systems were installed by our colleagues at SCT (Safe Composting Technologies) at the Independent Schools Foundation. Since then the project has grown remarkably and the whole subject of food, growing and waste are a much wider topic being dealt with in a community manner.

Bearing in mind that the school has 27 tonnes of food waste per year and there’s nothing more than hanging basket space in the city – how they deal with this is an example to us all.
